I directed my first show – a young people’s dance-theatre show - at The Place, Euston, the home of the London Contemporary Dance Theatre. Since then I have tended towards shows that incorporate music and movement/dance. My first full professional play was Panbeaters at Greenwich Theatre. For Nitro I have directed a number of music-theatre productions. I very much enjoy, at many levels, working with a mix of professional and non-professional performers, which draw stories from communities. Much of my work in Australia has been in this arena.
