In all my many years of composing music I have never ventured into music for films. I had a couple of small projects on t.v. back in the day but no movies. Nobody asked me, I never asked…. Theatre kept me busy.
It’s all about contacts I guess – getting these gigs. Eventually I had a rather useful contact when my wife, Kristine, directed Vishwamitri Villas and asked me to compose for it. I could hardly say ‘no’….
I very much enjoyed the process and slightly kicked myself for not pushing down this road before, but there you go.
Maybe this will lead to further offers, or maybe I’ll have to wait until Kristine directs her next film…
